South of Dunedin lies The Catlins - an area till recently a hidden treasure.

At Curio Bay at low tide see a petrified forest, millions of years ancient.

Invercargill City is host to a very special colony of living Tuataras. They are the oldest living dinosaurs and you can see them at Southland Museum.

On to Riverton, Lake Hauroko then to Manapouri where you can embark on a trip over the Wilmot Pass to the tranquillity of Doubtful Sound.

Te Anau is the gateway to Milford Sound - a must see before moving on to Queenstown.
